It’s time to help a Fayetteville mama in need.

Hi, my sweet and lovely Fayetteville community. You have ALL been so paramount to my success through my hospital visits. I’ll never forget the financial help I received to pay rent and bills while sick. Today, I’m hoping we can extend that kindness to another person.

There’s been so much happening in the world, but I’m asking for a few minutes that you dial into the short story of a local Fayetteville mama who needs aid.

Angalena is a single mama who works with me at Tangiers, and is ever the responsible and supportive manager. I personally love her, and she reminds me of my own mother and familial situation a few years back. We wouldn’t have survived transition and change if it wasn’t for the help of my extended family and friends. She does not have that same level of support, my heart breaks for her and her kids.

She has six kiddos to support, and manages Tangiers often beyond 40 hours with no overtime in order to do just that. She was given a month’s notice to evacuate her current residence, as the cost was being raised well above her ability to pay, like most of us are seeing constantly. She’s moving her family into a motel until they get approved on a waitlist for affordable housing and accommodations, and the motel is also stretching her budget past comfort level. It’s a financially tough situation to be in, and she’s had little to no money for groceries or necessities. On top of that, her van has been in the shop or malfunctioning, which is so important for her ability to make work on time.
