Entjola Demaj need our help
a 38-year-old woman originally from Albania living in Duxbury MA, moved to the United States nine years ago along with her husband and two sons to pursue a better life for themselves.
Entiola’s determination and hard work have been remarkable. Starting from scratch, she was able to become a Registered Nurse, tirelessly working full-time to help people in need and alleviate their pain. Entiola’s empathetic, compassionate, and caring nature is what makes her not only an excellent nurse but also an exceptional human. Her strength and selflessness have been an example for everyone around her, especially her children, who she adores. Entiola’s biggest hope and dream is to provide her two sons (aged 16 and 14) with a bright future, full of opportunities for growth without having to go through the hardships and difficulties she had to face in her life.
However, life had different plans for Entiola and her family. Two years ago, Entiola was diagnosed with breast cancer. Being a fighter all her life, Entiola remained strong and courageously fought that battle. For a whole year, she went through a difficult treatment which consisted of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and eventually, a double mastectomy. Her spirit and hope never abandoned her during that time. Her family’s support and love for her two sons are what gave her the strength to see the light even in the darkest hours. After completing the treatment, she was cancer free and hopeful for the future.
But once again, life had different plans for her. After a short period of cancer remission, her cancer returned to a more aggressive form, and she is now considered a stage 4 cancer patient.
The once strong woman everyone admired for her hard work, determination, and courage to make it in life, is now in need of our help. During this stage of her cancer, she needs to attend multiple medical appointments. Currently, she is receiving treatment at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, but so far treatment doesn’t seem to be effective. For this reason, she needs to meet with more medical professionals to get a second opinion on her case and see if there are other treatment options available for her that might be more promising. She has an appointment scheduled on July 7th at MD Anderson Cancer Institute and is also trying to schedule an appointment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
All these appointments are extremely costly and Entiola and her family are not able to afford them. Her husband is the only one providing for the family as Entiola is no longer able to work. Her cancer has progressed, causing a severe deterioration in her physical health as now she is immunocompromised. Entiola was able to beat cancer once and let’s hope that with our help and donations, she will be able to beat it once again after getting the appropriate treatment.
