Help Yerlis and Her Boys Start A New Life in California

Over the past year, many of us have gotten to know Yerlis and her family well, so we are reaching out with an update and a request for your support. Yerlis and her family are hardworking, kind and so much fun. They came to our country with a dream for a better life, a fairly simple one that included enough money to buy food and a find a place to live safe from fear. And while they’ve found some success and community here in our area, they have been unable to find fixed work here.

So, after spending a year here helping countless neighbors clean, cook, and babysit, Yerlis and her family have made the difficult decision to relocate to California where they have a lead on more stable work and an opportunity to settle near some long-time family friends that are established there. However, they are beginning this journey with very little money and will be initially staying with a family friend while they save up for their own place. We’re hopeful that you’re up for supporting this sweet family as they transition toward this new opportunity. We’d really love to send them on their way with a head start!
