Support a Local Needlework Shop!

Hi, my name is Dione, and I own a bricks-and-mortar needlework shop called The Stitcher's Muse in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
Needlework shops are becoming rare, and so many of our customers express an appreciation for being able to come in and actually look at fibres and fabrics.... photographs on the internet just aren't the same. We're also pretty good at helping people on the phone or via email since we can physically compare and contrast colours and textures. We get to know our customers, unlike big-box or large, anonymous businesses, helping us help you even better!
Every day we have customers coming in who express delight and excitement at finding a "real" needlework shop.
That said, many needleworkers have large stashes of needlework supplies and don't always need to add to them, even though doing so helps keep the shop thriving. So many customers tell us "please stay in business" but then they say "I don't really NEED any more projects right now." So I thought - "how can I help all my happy customers WITHOUT adding to their stashes, but still be here in the future for when they DO need supplies?" My answer: start a GoFundMe campaign!
My goal is to raise $30,000 to pay back a federal COVID-19 business assistance loan. Paying back this loan means we won't have to pay interest on it AND a large part of the loan is forgiven if most of it is paid back. The deadline for paying it back is approaching quickly (January 2024), and we REALLY want to keep our little shop going! Not having to pay interest and paying back less in total will make a HUGE difference in the variety and quantities of beautiful patterns, threads, fabrics, and notions we can keep in stock for you and all our needlework enthusiasts.
Any amount helps, and every dollar raised will go directly to paying back the loan. Any extra will go towards expanding and improving our inventory.
I'm asking you to help support the shop and keep us in business so we can be here for our customers in the future.
Thank you so much for helping us!
