Help Me Honor My Mom, Maranda Robinson
Hello, my name is Adia Gulley. I'm reaching out to ask for help with the cost and arrangements for a loving farewell for my mom, Maranda Robinson. My mother was an incredible woman-kind, giving, and a constant light in our lives and in her community. Over the past two years, we've faced many hardships, but the most difficult was watching her health decline.
In June 2023, my mom went into cardiac arrhythmia. By the grace of God, I was able to perform CPR until the ambulance arrived, and she was given a pacemaker to support her heart. For a time, we felt hopeful that this would be a new beginning.
However, life had other plans. She developed diverticulitis, a painful infection in her colon, which left her unable to eat or keep food down. She grew weaker and lost a significant amount of weight, eventually losing her mobility. In time, she could no longer walk, bathe, or feed herself and needed 24-hour care. As her only child, I did everything I could, but we simply didn't have the resources to get her the care she truly needed.
Despite these struggles, my mom's spirit remained strong. She was kind and giving to everyone she met, and she touched countless lives. She meant the world to me, and I want to honor her memory with the dignity she deserves.
If you're able, please consider donating to help us give her a proper and heartfelt goodbye. Thank you so much for any support, whether through donations or sharing her story.
With gratitude,
Adia
