Support a Loving Memorial for Matilde Lopez

Hi, my name is Kathy, daughter of Matilde Lopez. On September 28th 2024 my mom passed away. She was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma on May 23, 2022. She was told it was terminal. She also developed diabetes and was constantly in the hospital suffering from DKA. In June 2024 she was given the option to remove her kidney because the pain was getting so bad she could barely stand. She was on the road to recovery when she developed two different infections, bacterial and fungal. Her wounds from surgery would not heal causing even more of a problem. Her cancer then began spreading aggressively. She fought for 3 months in the hospital. Her goal was always to come home and spend time with her kids and grandson. She was such a loving, friendly, outgoing person. She loved the beach, loved the gym and loved dancing. She was very passionate about her faith. She was one of the strongest people I know. We know she is at peace and with her son Jon. We just want to give her the memorial ceremony she deserves.
