Support a Memorial Bench for Joe Miconi's Legacy
Donation protected
I am Bill Laliberte, and I created this GoFundMe page to raise the funds needed to pay for a memorial bench with plaque for my lifelong dear friend Joseph F. Miconi, Jr.
Joe spent his entire life in the North Attleboro community, and was dedicated to music. He owned and operated Miconi Music Store for 60 years on Route 1 (East Washington Street) from 1962 until his untimely death from COVID-19 on January 20, 2022. Joe supplied music lessons and instruments for the North Attleboro High School band. He had students taking music lessons daily at his store, where he had teachers who were proficient in many different instruments. In our younger years, I fondly remember helping him deliver spinet pianos in snow storms on Christmas Eve to customers. Joe also had a band for the longest time called the Ravens, who played at many weddings and other special events all around New England. Joe treated everyone in the music field with kindness and good deals.
It has been my desire to have a bench and plaque created in his memory and installed at the music gazebo at Memorial Park in North Attleboro, where music is played during the summer months and during the farmers market. The North Attleboro Parks and Recreation provided a cost estimate to the Miconi family of $5,000. If this GoFundMeAnything raises more money than the $5,000 cost of the bench and plaque, it will be put into a scholarship fund for music at North Attleboro High School.
Thank you for your generosity and kind support.
