Ellen May Jones was my sister. She was brutally abused and murdered by my mother’s boyfriend. My sister was beaten and had her skull crushed, buried on the side of the road in Swan Valley, Idaho on July 30th, 1965. I’m Charlene, her sister born five years after her murder! I just found my sister's grave and details of her horrific murder. I’m taking a trip to Idaho Falls to visit her grave and upgrade to a nice memorial! She’s never had a family member visit her grave or leave flowers in 59 years other than the beautiful family of the sheriff that solved her case! Him and his family have visited her grave and left flowers all these years! I'm so grateful to them!
I’m doing this GoFundMe to upgrade her headstone to a memorial stand-up headstone for not only her but for all abused children in this world! To honor her life as short as it was. A memorial where people can come honor and grieve the abused children of the world!
Her headstone was provided by the county of Idaho Falls 59 years ago today, Aug 12, 1965 was the day of her burial. I had flowers delivered to her grave and they sent me a picture. Her grave is all chipped up and you can’t even read the top and it breaks my heart! She deserves so much more! Looking into prices of headstones, I’m not able to get her what I feel her and all the abused babies deserve, so I’m asking for help to get her a beautiful memorial to honor her and to honor all the other babies and children that have been killed from abuse! I want to be a voice for children that don’t have one! I want to help change laws for children’s rights! I will do that with my book. This is the starting of having that voice and giving to Ellen and all the abused children a beautiful memorial. I plan to be a voice for the children of today that are in an abusive family. To change the procedures child protective services take to save the life of children being abused! The system failed me and my sister, but it’s not too late for others if we have a voice for the abused.

Also to those children still living in abuse and trauma today! Also for the survivors that have lived through and broke the chains that bound them!

Left Alone But Not Forgotten
You beat me until you took my life and left me in that grave, thinking you could hide me until you got away.
And though you may have hurt me and made me bleed and starve. God did not forget me, He was right here by my side!
When you left me all alone in the darkness of the night, God came down upon me and gave me his strong light! He took me by my hand and said, I know the free will I give to man is hard to understand!
As He took me home to heaven He whispered in my ear, You were never left alone and forgotten, I was always here! What was done in darkness my spirit brought to light. Now your voice can be heard for those who are still in the fight!
Your work was not done when I brought you home to Thee, your spirit lives on to testify of Me! To help those in darkness to bring them to the light.
There are many left behind that will carry on your voice, to help to change the laws for children with no choice!
To the survivors that have broken the chains that bind, stand up and take a stand for the others abused, don't leave them behind.
