Support a mom and daughter
Donation protected
In September of 2017 an amazing, loving little 13-year-old girl was tragically struck by a driver whilst on a crosswalk. Lily was on her way home from hanging out with friends when she was struck. The immediate damage was assessed as a concussion along with multiple sprains, strains and bruising. However, we have just recently discovered that the head trauma was significantly more than just a concussion. It has been diagnosed as post-concussion depressive disorder, a form of brain damage/trauma. Resulting in memory/cognitive damage and she still has difficulties engaging in sports, dancing, gym even riding her scooter. She still suffers from headaches, back and leg pain and is withdrawn, anxious and depressed.
This result has meant numerous trips to hospitals, therapists, physiotherapists and counsellors to name a few. Her single mother Patricia is having to deal with these appointments and emergencies by using public transportation and having to rely on friends and family which is exceedingly difficult. All whilst trying to remain strong, upbeat and supportive for her daughter’s sake.
These little family is undergoing some brutal stress right now and in the face of it they still try to find time to laugh, love and care. They are strong, smart, brave, confident, funny and endearing people who need support right now.
We are looking for funds to get Patricia and Lily a small car. A vehicle will allow Patricia better control over her schedule and give them both peace of mind in an emergency. It will ease the stress and burdens and thus allow them better focus on Lily’s recuperation and well being. Every dollar counts, and nothing will be taken for granted. We just ask for a little bit of help to get easier smiles on the face of two incredible people. We thank you for taking the time to read this and for your donation. And please feel free to share to get the word out for these two. We are hoping to get the vehicle as soon as possible as this family has been in need for months right now so even if you cannot donate please share.
