Support a Rohingya student at Sittwe University

Hi fam! Coming at you with another birthday support request. See below for last year’s request for context.
Waî Yân has completed his first year at Sittwe University and has just started his second year (here’s his blog for more info about his life as a student in Myanmar): https://www.youtube.com/@mnmvlog224.
Let’s get ambitious and see if we can raise enough money to get him through his final 3 years of school! We’re trying to raise a total of $4,800 ($600/semester) by my birthday on August 18. Help me celebrate by getting us to his goal and helping to secure a future for this young man and his family.
**This year I’m raising funds for a friend and former student who is attending Sittwe University. He is Rohingya Muslim and for the last 10 years Rohingya students have been prohibited from attending the university due to persecution and discrimination by the government and within the local community. This year Rohingya students have been allowed to enroll in the university and my former student is currently studying psychology, but needs support covering basic living expenses. Many thanks for your help.
