Support a Safe Move to New York

I live in central Florida, and with everything that's going on right now, I've lost hope that that's ever going to change.

I'm in debt, working every hour my job allows, and still not making any progress. Moving out of the country would be great, but I'm not delusional, so my goal is to move out of state.

I'm locked into a lease until April, but I won't be able to save enough on my own to leave. I have a place in New York with my current employer if I am able to move.

I've never liked living in Florida. Even as a kid, I complained about the heat endlessly. Now that I'm an adult, I get panic attacks from hurricanes leading up to and during them.

I have been saving and working hard to escape since the beginning of hurricane season, but everything is so expensive and stuff keeps coming up.

Now with the (currently preliminary) election results, and so many people around me voting to take away my rights, I don't feel safe even outside of the hurricane season.

So many people who have never even mentioned politics are suddenly making me aware that they are not safe to be around. People I work with, who I went to school with, and even people I live with.

I would spend the money on costs associated with moving, housing, transportation, and debts.

The current plan is to move with a friend as soon as I have the funding and am out of my lease.
