Support a Second Chance at Life

In 2014, I was convicted of a murder I did not commit. In January of 2023, I won my appeal and had that charge vacated and completely removed from my record. And in November of 2023, I moved to Colorado to start a new life. I have been fighting tooth and nail to overcome my past and to catch back up in life after over a decade in prison for something I didn’t do.

I have gotten a car, had someone total it, came back and got another and it died on me, I have got my own place to stay, I have started a new family with my new wife and her children, I had found a great job but that fell through and I’m struggling with living off side jobs (with no car), I have worked with/volunteered for multiple non-profits to help others, I have made connections with people in positions I never even thought possible.

And I need help to finally get over this hurdle and do more than just scrape. I need to get a car that can not only be used for work but transporting my family around as well. Because of my loss of years in life, I have never financed a car, my credit is not terrible, but it’s not great. I have been looking and looking for a car that will last and be able to have the space for a family of 6, but it’s not possible without getting something at least a little newer. The best I have found is a 2014 with 80,000 miles on it for $12,000. Due to having never financed a vehicle though, they still want $10,000 down. And even that is gone now. The turn over rate on cars is so high that I can’t have a set amount and know exactly what car I will get until I have the money. It will literally change weekly, if not daily.

I am just trying to create a future for myself and my family that is worth something. And that I can look back on while on my death bed and be proud of it. And for the first time, rather than going out and helping others, I'm sucking up my pride, and am begging for someone, or some people to help me. I just need that little bit of help to finally be able to be someone that is worth more.
