Support a single mum & teenage son - Home Fire Survivors

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,

We are reaching out today to ask for your support for a courageous single mother and her teenage son, who are in desperate need of assistance following an unimaginable tragedy.

Single Mother fled an abusive marriage and came to the UK to provide a better life for herself and her son. Never relying on council benefit, she found herself a full time job and worked tirelessly.

On 10th Dec, due to a gas leak incident, her home and whole world were blown to pieces.
Pulled out from the wreckage on Ley street - many of you may have seen the video( BBC news link below) of the blast and understand the severity of the situation - the mother was taken into hospital where she remained in a critical condition in ICU whilst the 14year old son was placed into foster care as they had no family in the UK.

For nearly a month this brave mother fought for recovery in the ICU , enduring pain, uncertainty and no contact with her son. She has now recently been discharged from hospital and placed in a temporary council accommodation and cannot be reunited with her son until she gets a suitable council property.
Upon her discharge, she was sent home in her hospital slippers, lacking proper warm clothing.

Imagine that everything you’ve worked to build has been destroyed in a fire, you have no place to call home and you’re left to start over from scratch—a toothbrush, shower gel, underwear, a mop, a kettle, tea, coffee, and other essentials.
Without any family support, one must rely on charity and generosity to get by.

At present, the incident has left the mother feeling deeply vulnerable , anxious and shocked - she will inevitably require therapy and the healing process will be considerably long as she has significant burns from her head to toes which has dramatically impacted her physical appearance , mental health and mobility.

We are appealing for help. Every donation, no matter the size will make a difference in helping this mother and son regain a sense of stability, hope and rebuild their life.
Let humanity do its thing - let's work together as a community and let them know they are not alone.

Thank you.
