SEE UPDATES TO THIS INITIAL NARRATIVE
I’ve reluctantly started this GoFundMe page (strongly encouraged by my daughter) in the event things take a turn for the worse at the popular ice cream shop I’ve owned (and poured my heart and soul into) for 7 years. Hopefully, I’ll make it through unscathed this year and any donations received and not needed will be given to the local animal shelter.
Being a small “Mom and Pop” type business who actually survived the COVID years when many small businesses didn’t, I consider myself to be very fortunate to own an ice cream shop that attracts over 10,000 customers a month during peak season (many from all over the United States) to its beautiful location on the river directly across from the Louisville, Kentucky skyline.
Unfortunately though, because the shop is currently scheduled to be smack dab in the middle of a year long construction zone that will make getting to me very difficult and, as a result, will cause me to lose a significant amount of revenue during the year, I fear the struggle may be significant.
My goal in creating this fundraiser (again, reluctantly as I am generally not one to ask anyone for help), is to raise enough to ensure I make it to the other side of this construction beautification of the area (without losing the shop) where I’ll then be able to truly enjoy the fruits of my labor all these years.
Any donation is very much appreciated, as is your sharing this fundraiser with your family and friends.
Thank you!
