Support a memorial for Superman Museum's founder
Donation protected
This week, the world lost a legend—Jim Hambrick, the visionary behind the Superman Museum in Metropolis, Illinois. Jim’s lifelong passion for Superman and DC Comics transformed a small town into a must-visit destination for fans worldwide.
Years ago, Jim moved from California with a dream and a childlike wonder reminiscent of Peter Pan—a belief in never growing up and always embracing joy. He brought with him one of the largest Superman collections in the world, creating a museum that became a symbol of inspiration, nostalgia, and love for comic book history.
In honor of Jim’s memory, we’re raising funds to help the Superman Museum create a memorial tribute to preserve his legacy. Whether it’s a dedicated memorial exhibit, a plaque, or another meaningful tribute, the goal is to ensure Jim’s contributions to Superman fans and Metropolis are celebrated for generations to come.
All donations will go directly to the Superman Museum to support this memorial project and continue Jim’s mission of sharing his passion with the world.
Let’s come together to honor the man who made Metropolis the home of Superman and gave so many of us a place to feel like heroes. Thank you for helping us keep Jim’s dream alive.
“Truth, Justice, and the American Way.”
