Support a Sweet Survivor's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi!
My sister brought home a young pup she found on a farm road. It was limping before collapsing in a mud puddle. She scooped her up and we took her immediately to a vet, where she got x-rays.
Her leg is broken. She has lacerations. We can't afford the surgery right now, which at the low end is $4,500 (up to $7,000), not including the first $1,000 paid for the initial visit. I have called and emailed animal services for help, but have not heard back, and this surgery needs to happen yesterday.
She is underweight and bony, but she is very sweet and quite the survivor.
She was most likely hit by a car after being dumped in an area that is sadly a known dumping spot for unwanted dogs. We think she's a husky mixed with either border collie or aussie cattle dog, and the vet estimated her to be about nine months old. No chip, and no evidence of a spay scar. We want to get her vaccinated, chipped, and spayed after she's patched up so that she's ready for a loving forever home. If we can't find an adopter, then she'll have a loving home with us.
If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. Thank you!!
