Support a Tribute for Maria Marsili DeChent

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Marsili DeChent, who walked into the Lord's embrace surrounded by love on October 11, 2024, at the age of 55. Maria, a spirited soul, brought joy and warmth to everyone she encountered.

Born on July 21, 1969, Maria was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece, zia, cousin, and dearest friend whose love and warmth touched the lives of everyone around her.

Maria was predeceased by her cherished parents, John and Angela Marsili. She carried their spirit with her throughout her life, embodying the values of love, strength, and resilience they instilled in her.

Some of Maria's cherished memories are her time spent with family in Ocean City, Maryland and at her treasured home in Vatolla, Italy, where she created some of her most precious memories and friendships. These places filled her heart with joy, and she loved sharing those experiences with her loved ones.

Maria was a vessel of the Lord's courage, facing life's storms with a faith that never wavered. Her loving spirit, so full of zest and courage, will continue to inspire us as we walk our paths. Let us hold fast to the love she shared, and carry her light within us.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Edward, brother, Joseph Rizzo, and of course her adored children Amanda, Brandon, and Eva – who were the center of Maria's world. Her unwavering support and guidance were the cornerstones of their lives, and her legacy of love will continue to flourish in them. Maria's spirit will forever be a guiding star for her family, a reminder of the incredible woman they were blessed to call wife and mother.

A celebration of Maria's life will be held on Tuesday October, 15th from 4pm-8pm at Yorktown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Maria Marsili DeChent fund which will be used to create a tribute to memorialize her memory in her hometown in Italy.
