Support Aaliya Barnard's Fight Against Fanconi Anemia

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family & Kind Hearts,
My name is Marsha Barnard Randall - I write to you today with a heavy heart reaching out in a desperate plea for help for my son Mike Barnard, his wife Sarajane and their beautiful daughter Aaliya.
I want to share their story with you. Aaliya - a little Rockstar has been through the wringer. The first 3 months of her life she had surgery on her esophagus, liver, gallbladder removal and 2 heart surgeries. Plus she had a feeding tube for more than 2 years.
Aaliya's story is complicated. She has a rare genetics disorder called Fanconi Anemia. It's where her bone marrow will fail and she will need a bone marrow transplant. This puts her at high risk for cancer and low immunity. People with Fanconi have an average life span of 20-30 years, let's pray and hope she beats those odds. Her journey has been rocky and will continue to be.
Aaliya was born February 5, 2021. She is now 3 years old. The next chapter has begun. May 8th, 2024 she was admitted to the hospital to begin her journey for a bone marrow transplant. She will have radiation, intense chemo, then her transplant. She will be in the hospital approximately 6 weeks but possibly up to 3 months. The road to recovery is long and difficult filled with countless medical procedures, medications and potential complications. Yet it offers the promise of a new beginning a chance for Aaliya to reclaim her childhood free from the shadows of illness.
My daughter-in-law - Sarajane can no longer work outside the home, she is consumed by Aaliya's intense medical needs and doctor's appointments. My son Mike works long days to provide for his family. Despite their medical insurance the financial strain is overwhelming. The out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance have quickly added up. This is why I am asking for support from Friends, Family & Kind Hearts to help them weather this storm. Any missed days of work by my son Mike will absolutely cause a lot of additional financial stress. With your donations it will allow him and Sarajane to focus on what truly matters - Aaliya's health.
I humbly ask that you share Aaliya's story with your friends, family and social networks.
Your love, help, support and prayers mean more to us than words can express. We will keep you updated on Aaliya's journey every step of the way.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Marsha Barnard Randall - Aaliya's Grammy
