UPDATE **
1/2/25
We all know the struggle is real over the holidays, but with medical emergencies it is a burden that lasts much longer. Recovery is stressful on its own, but the weight it adds being the holidays with children is a burden nobody wishes to have. Aaron is still trying to recover, and has been home for a couple weeks now. He has had doctor appointments almost every day for the month of December. He would have loved to give his kids a Christmas to remember- just not like this!
However, there are still some big challenges ahead! Doctors are unsure of any timeline that can get him back to work as he is now scheduled for another surgery in March to remove a mass from his chest. He is so so grateful for all the help he has received already and we are asking you all to please still keep him in your thoughts and prayers and if you can, monetarily help.
THANK YOU!!
update:
Aaron is on his way to be homebound soon!! It’s 12 weeks out and things are looking up everyday! He is still in care due to wound care and being on wound vacs, but he is itching to get out! We’re hoping for before Thanksgiving. He is up and walking with a walker and is in good spirits! Thank you all for your continued support and prayers and please keep them coming!! -Paula
My name is Paula, and I am going to be helping out a co-worker of mine in his time of need. Aaron O’Connell is a hard-working man who has had to have over 24 surgeries in the last 6 weeks due to a life-threatening infection in his leg and spine. He is hopefully on the mend now, but is just asking for a little help to keep his family afloat during this difficult time. Please say prayers for him and any help is deeply appreciated. Thank you!
