Support Abortion Access in Niagara through NRJ!

Niagara Reproductive Justice is a group of pro-choice community members in the Niagara Region advocating for increased visibility of and access to sexual and reproductive health resources. Over the past year, we have conducted a considerable amount of research to understand how abortions are accessed in our region. Through this research, it has become evident that there are extremely limited options for accessing both medical and surgical abortions in Niagara, and it usually requires thorough planning and access to reliable transportation. For many folks in our community, it can be difficult to navigate this process alone. We want everyone in Niagara to be able to access the abortion care they need.

 

Abortion Support Niagara is a 100% volunteer-run group organized by Niagara Reproductive Justice created to provide support for people seeking abortions. We plan to provide the following forms of support (including, but not limited to):

- Financial supports (e.g. travel, grocery, childcare, accommodation costs, etc.)

- Emotional supports (e.g. connecting people with abortion doulas and post-abortion support groups)

- Logistical & administrative supports (e.g. driving to appointments, scheduling appointments, advocating for individuals, etc.)
