Support Abrobiano's Maternity Ward to save Babies

I am Sarah Odiasempa born in Cleveland, Tennessee. I am a volunteer Project Cordinator for Winnies Women World Initiative (W3) an NGO that is into women and children empowerment. As part of our community development projects, I am raising this funds on behalf of W3 to build a maternity ward in Abrobiano community to save pregnant women and their babies.
Nestled along the breathtaking coast of Ghana’s Central Region lies Abrobiano, a community rich in beauty but burdened by a harsh reality. This village, located just a half-hour drive from Cape Coast, is surrounded by the serene embrace of the sea on one side and a tranquil lagoon on the other. Despite its natural splendor, Abrobiano is crying out for help—its inhabitants, especially expectant mothers and children, are suffering due to a lack of essential healthcare services.
In Abrobiano, fishing is the lifeblood of the community, sustaining about 15,000 people. Yet, amidst this vibrant life, there is a void—no local clinic to care for the health needs of the villagers. Imagine the despair of a mother, heavy with the life of her unborn child, facing a risky journey over treacherous roads to reach the nearest town for delivery.
The absence of a health facility has led to heartbreaking losses, with lives cut short simply because help was too far away.
Picture Ama, a young expectant mother whose joy turned to tragedy one stormy night. With no clinic in Abrobiano, her family was forced to navigate flooded, dangerous roads to seek help. Ama never made it to the clinic; she and her baby died that night. This is not just a story; it is a devastating reality for many families in Abrobiano. The grief and anguish of losing loved ones when it could have been prevented are unbearable.
The people of Abrobiano need a maternity ward equipped with modern medical facilities.
HOW THE MONEY WILL BE USE
1. It will be use to build a maternity ward which will provide a safe haven for mothers to deliver their babies and receive the proper aftercare they deserve.
2. This project envision a facility that includes a pediatric section for the children and a wellness center dedicated to preventative care, annual checkups, vaccines, and essential lab work to keep the community healthy.
By donating, you are not just funding a clinic; you are offering hope, saving babies, and ensuring that no mother has to face the terror of childbirth without medical support. You are giving every child in Abrobiano a chance to live, grow up healthy and strong.
No more tragic stories like Ama’s. we can turn Abrobiano into a beacon of hope.
Please, help us build this clinic to save lives. Donate now and be a part of this life-saving mission. Together, we can create a brighter, healthier future for Abrobiano community.
