Support Abuelita's Medical Recovery Journey

Hi everyone! The last few months have been tough on our family. Unfortunately, our Abuelita took a turn for the worse and has been recovering from multiple medical issues.

In August, she was rushed to the hospital due to being unconscious. She mentally and physically started deteriorating quickly with no treatment in sight. After multiple tests, the doctors discovered that she was fighting a blood infection and her diabetes had become uncontrollable. This caused her to lose weight and develop multiple sores throughout her body.

We finally have been able to find a wonderful group of specialists in Chiquimula, Guatemala who have been able to develop a treatment plan to get her back on her feet. Slowly but surely, she has been improving mentally and physically. The doctors have let us know that her treatment plan will take time but that she will hopefully be able to recover fully.

Our family has been pitching in where they can but the medical bills keep growing. From the bottom of our hearts, we would appreciate any help.

¡Hola a todos! Los últimos meses han sido difíciles para nuestra familia. Desafortunadamente, nuestra Abuelita empeoró y ha estado recuperándose de múltiples problemas médicos.

En agosto, fue llevada de urgencia al hospital debido a que estaba inconsciente. Empezó a deteriorarse mental y físicamente rápidamente sin ningún tratamiento a la vista. Después de múltiples pruebas, los médicos descubrieron que estaba luchando contra una infección en la sangre y que su diabetes se había vuelto incontrolable. Esto le causó pérdida de peso y el desarrollo de múltiples llagas por todo el cuerpo.

Finalmente, hemos podido encontrar un maravilloso grupo de especialistas en Chiquimula, Guatemala, quienes han podido desarrollar un plan de tratamiento para ponerla de pie nuevamente. Poco a poco, ha estado mejorando mental y físicamente. Los médicos nos han informado que su plan de tratamiento tomará tiempo, pero que, con suerte, podrá recuperarse completamente.

Nuestra familia ha estado ayudando en lo que puede, pero las facturas médicas siguen creciendo. Desde el fondo de nuestros corazones, agradeceríamos cualquier ayuda.
