For almost 30 years, my dad and stepmom have called this house their home. It’s not just a house; it’s the heart of our family. My dad and stepmom, the “Abuelitos,” have always opened their doors with warmth and generosity, making everyone feel welcome.

Tragically, the Eaton fire struck and they lost everything. The home that held so many memories is gone, and they now face the task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.

This home has seen it all, family celebrations, moments of grief, and countless gatherings filled with joy. It’s where the grandkids learned to love, laugh, and grow under the care of their amazing grandparents.

Now, the Abuelitos need help. We’re reaching out to our community, family, and friends for support. Any contribution, big or small, or simply sharing our story, will help the Abuelitos in their time of need. Unfortunately, like a lot of homes near the foothills in Altadena, the high fire risk means there’s no fire insurance to help with rebuilding their lives.
