Support Acorn's Urgent Medical Needs

My name is Cooper, I have a 2 year old boy cat named Acorn. I got Acorn in the summer of 2023 when he was about 4 months old. I raised him from when he could fit in the palm of my hand all the way to his big ol 14 lb self now. He changed my life, and I really mean that. He has shown me a gentler and warmer side of myself I didnt know I had. He has taught me how to love something, even when it annoys or bites me, to love it unconditionally. He's taught me to be more patient, to be more understanding, to be more present in my life and my surroundings. He's pulled me out of a depressive funk more times than I can count. He is my best friend. I have never felt more empathy, love, or connection in my life to another creature than I have with Acorn. My partner and I recently moved in together and Acorn has been quite stressed due to the move and a variety of other factors that are out of our control. He suffers from anxiety already and is medicated for it. We had a big scare today and noticed blood in his urine and quickly took him to the ER. It turns out, my sweet boy, has urinary blockage. If left untreated it can be deadly within 24 hours. Im incredibly lucky and grateful that I caught this in time and got the care he needed. With that care came a huge price and while I'd do and have done anything for my boy.... I am now struggling. Acorns vet bills came out to almost $4,000. An amount of money I do not have and now will be paying off with a loan, which is not ideal. Im not one to ask for money like this. I have never set up a go fund me in my life. I am desperate though. Acorn will need very expensive medicated food and medication after his hospital stay that will make paying back the original hospital bill even more challenging. I'm asking for anything you can to donate, even if it's just $5 it will help me and help him get back on his feet faster. He is the funniest, weirdest, craziest little dude and I wouldn't want him any other way. Anybody who knows Acorn knows he's the softest cat in the world, he's a connesiour of zipties, and that he would kill for a slice of salmon. He doesn't deserve this pain and I'm grateful that he is getting the treatment and help he needs to get back to his funky self. I appreciate anything you can spare, even if it's just kind words. Thank you, from Acorn and I both.
