**My Story with War and Education:**
My name is Adam, a young man from Gaza, Palestinian with pride. At first, life seemed full of opportunities and hope, despite the difficult circumstances we live in. I had a big dream, a dream of becoming an influential person in my community and contributing to improving our reality through knowledge and work. I was a first-year student at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, studying Interior Design Engineering. I was very excited to begin this journey, and I aspired to achieve something great in the future, not only for myself but for my family and my country.
But, as always in Gaza, life was unforgiving, and it left me with little space to achieve this dream.
Just two weeks after starting my first semester, in the midst of studying and revising, something unexpected happened: war broke out. Suddenly, everything changed. Our lives were turned upside down. The sounds of bombings and explosions filled the sky, and the streets were empty of people. We were trapped in our homes, not knowing what the future held for us. The destroyed streets, collapsing houses, and deteriorating security situation made it impossible to focus on my studies or attend my lectures.
We stopped going to the university because of the bombings and the closure of all roads and transportation. The semester came to a halt, and at the same time, my hopes came to a standstill. As the crisis deepened, everything seemed suspended: my studies, my dreams, and my ambitions. The cost of one academic hour at the university was 25 Jordanian Dinars, and each semester consisted of 18 hours, meaning I needed $6000 for each semester. I tried to manage, but with power cuts and difficulty accessing resources, the situation became harder every day. Moreover, my daily expenses for the university were about $20, which covered food, transportation, and books. As the situation worsened, it became impossible to continue my daily life, let alone pursue my education.
As the days went on, the situation continued to deteriorate. Every dream I had seemed distant. The dream of studying, graduating, and even succeeding in my chosen field became unreachable. I was unable to continue my studies at the university, and I left the semester halfway. Feelings of frustration and disappointment began to fill my heart. But despite all this, I couldn't let this dream slip away forever.
I thought a lot about a solution that could bring me back to my educational path, and I realized the only option was to travel and continue my studies outside Gaza. But as you know, traveling from Gaza is not easy. The border crossings are closed most of the time, and when they open, coordinating to leave requires a huge sum of money, around $5000, which is a large amount for me. Additionally, the costs of education abroad are beyond my financial ability, making it extremely difficult to achieve my dream.
Today, I find myself at a crossroads: I don’t want to let my dream disappear, but I need help. I am asking my friends and anyone who can extend a helping hand to assist me in continuing my education. I need donations for:
1. Coordination to leave Gaza: It requires $5000, which is a very large amount.
2. Tuition fees abroad: Around $6000 per semester, a sum I will not be able to gather on my own.
3. Daily living expenses: The cost of daily life abroad requires additional funds.
I have always known that education is the only way to salvation, not only for me but for my people. Education is the tool that will help me become a person capable of changing my reality and the reality of my family, and to contribute to building our homeland, which suffers from so many hardships. Therefore, I will hold onto my dream despite all the circumstances.
Today, I am here asking for your help to achieve this dream. If you can donate even a small part of the required amount, it will have a huge impact on changing my life and the lives of my family.
I pray that God grants you all success and helps us endure and succeed despite all the challenges. Thank you to everyone who stands by me, and I deeply appreciate any support or assistance you may offer. You are the ones helping build our future.
