Support Addiction Services at Cuan Mhuire
Donation protected
I am raising money for something very close to my heart.
My life has been touched by addiction in many ways over the years. It is something that touches the lives of many I'm sure; whether it's a family member, friend or even someone in their community. Someone very close to me has undertaken a treatment programme in Cuan Mhuire and I am truly grateful to the amazing people there who provide such invaluable services along with kindness, care, love and support to my loved one and the countless other people who pass through their doors each year.
Cuan Mhuire is Ireland’s largest voluntary provider of Addiction Treatment Services and Residential Rehabilitation. It’s main objective is the rehabilitation of people suffering from alcohol, drug and gambling addictions. They are open 24/7, 365 days a year doing amazing work to help people to become aware of and deal with the underlying issues driving their addictions.
As a charitable trust, Cuan Mhuire relies heavily on fundraising and their benefactors so that they can continue to provide these invaluable and life-changing services to people who need it the most. Fundraising has been severely curtailed over the past year, as it has been for many voluntary and charitable organisations. In line with Covid restrictions, the treatment facilities in Kildare, Limerick, Galway, Cork and Down can only operate at 66% capacity. To give you an idea of the volume of people seeking treatment, there is a new intake of up to 12 people every two weeks and the treatment programmes run for 12 - 20 weeks. These services are needed more than ever as numbers continue to rise for those suffering from addiction and mental health issues.
I would be truly grateful for your support and whatever you can afford to donate. I would love to reach and even exceed my goal by the end of April. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to Cuan Mhuire so that they can continue to provide these vitally important, life-changing services.
Thank you,
Lauren
