Support Adela's Transition to Better Care

Hi, my name is Nancy Mac Innes and I am Adela's great-great-great niece. Adela is a 90-year-old woman from Chiclayo, Peru. She has played a huge role in my upbringing, and I wouldn't have the life I do without her help, presence, and love.

I am currently a full-time college student, and I also work full-time to sustain my bills and aid her. My aunt Adela, over the past few years since I have started college, has needed me more than ever with helping around her apartment, doing her groceries, going to the doctors, and more. She has begun to not realize there are bugs (cockroaches) in her apartment and has been struggling with remembering if she has completed daily tasks.

Adela is beginning to need round-the-clock care due to her mental state and memory, which has been very scary for me to witness and not be able to get her the immediate care she needs and deserves. I am raising money to move Adela to a Memory Care community in Manhattan that can give her more support than I am able to. I want to give her a better quality of life than what she has right now, and it would mean the world to me any help to try and get her there and out of her current living situation.
