05.26. my niece was riding a bike from school when she was hit by a car. How it all happened is not known yet. The parents found the girl on the bike path (her sister also rode along, who managed to catch up and call her father in this terrible situation). Why the driver did not see the child is unknown. A police investigation is underway. The hit was such strong that the girl, in a critical condition, losing consciousness, completely broken and mutilated, was flown by helicopter to Cork Hospital ...

The doctors managed to save her life, the head injuries were terrible, but the cognitive centers and the spinal cord were not damaged. She will walk. Anxious postoperative infection, but doctors believe everything is under control. Adrija has both jaws broken, a clavicle, a palm-sized wound in the thigh, a sore wound in the chin, multiple fractures and abrasions in several places, and cracks in the lungs that prevented immediate surgery. After stabilizing overnight to help and finding ways to anesthetize and making sure the child was really awake, a team of doctors from Dublin arrived in the morning. It was operated by 8 doctors. The child was operated on by two teams: one on the leg, the other on the jaw and the mouth ... Doctors worked in shifts to keep the child under maximum anesthesia for a safe time. Both jaws were operated on, the teeth were removed, plastic surgeons sutured their lips, and a torn palate and gums were sutured. The thigh muscles were torn ... The chin opened ... The clavicle - in a splint, sewn back to pieces ... As much as possible, face was preserved for a teenage girl who still has a lifetime in front of her eyes. But she is a fighter, very much hopeful with the help of all of you, she will be able to smile.

According to doctors: complex dental treatment is waiting for, psychologists are needed for both girls, after the shock, plastic surgeons will continue to be needed, all non-life-saving medical services, that parients have to pay for rest healing in Lithuania. We alone - can't do much, but with the help of all of you, I believe that we will help the child regain a full life ...
