Support Affected Workers from KSU Layoffs
The Kennesaw State University (KSU) chapter of the United Campus Workers of Georgia (UCWGA) has pushed for layoff prevention since budget cuts were announced at KSU, with no response from Administration. On August 10, KSU quietly laid off 24 salaried workers. Since then, with no meaningful conversation, transparency, or support for affected workers, KSU has permanently eliminated or furloughed the jobs of nearly 50 KSU staff. On September 15th, UCWGA-KSU published a press release alerting the community of the KSU’s continued action to lay off workers. Now, affected workers who have been laid off or furloughed are struggling to find support during a global pandemic.
UCWGA-KSU is raising funds to provide direct financial support to laid off and furloughed workers in need. Please support and spread awareness by donating and sharing.
