Support Afghan Refugees at Home and in Afghanistan

We are BC4Afghans, a non-profit organization passionately dedicated to serving Afghan refugees and asylum seekers in British Columbia, Canada. Today, we come to you with a heartfelt plea to join hands in making a difference in the lives of nearly 1.7 million Afghans affected by the recent deportation decisions made by the Pakistani government.

Our mission is clear: to raise $10,000 to support the Afghan refugees. As part of our Third Annual Toy Drive, we will dedicate 75% of our donations to provide relief funds to those directly impacted by the recent deportation, channeled through our trusted partner, Beacon of Hope (BOH), a local Non-Profit Organization and Registered Charity (bohsociety.org) . The remaining 25% will continue our third annual mission to spread joy this holiday season by purchasing toys for Afghan Refugee children in Greater Vancouver.

Why Toys Matter for Afghan Refugees in BC:

For the third consecutive year, we aim to bring smiles to the faces of Afghan refugee children in Greater Vancouver through our toy drive. For many refugees, holidays can be an isolating time, away from home and loved ones. In addition, many of these families are under significant financial strain considering they are starting their lives from scratch. Afghan refugee families should not have to miss out on the magic of the season due to financial concerns. Last year, we gifted over 100 families with your generous support.

Why Monetary Support Matters for Afghans Deported from Pakistan:

In times of crisis, providing monetary support proves to be more effective than traditional aid. With the uncertainty at the border and families in transition, giving them the flexibility to address their immediate needs is crucial. BOH, with its local presence and expertise, will follow a comprehensive needs assessment to provide relief for the most vulnerable and affected families. BOH intends to provide each family with 5000 AFN (~1000CAD) cash to help them purchase essential supplies such as food, clean drinking water and medicine.
