Support Afghans Seeking Safety in Hampton Roads
The William & Mary Law School Immigration Clinic is working with individuals in Hampton Roads to help their family members who are trying to come to the United States from Afghanistan. To help them, the Clinic is filing applications for Humanitarian Parole . Humanitarian Parole allows someone to live safely in the United States while they apply for another kind of visa to stay permanently (Special Immigrant Visas, family-based petitions, or asylum).
Time is not on our side! The situation in Afghanistan grows more dire each day. Even filing a fee waiver could slow these applications down, leaving our clients’ families in danger.
Now, our clients need help paying for the filing fees. Each applicant must pay a $575 processing fee. They need your help! Our initial goal of $575 will cover one humanitarian parole application that we are currently filing.
All donations above the $575 goal will go toward paying other filing fees as they arise.
