Support After School Learning Tree
Donation protected
Since it was founded in 2004 by Hong Yu, After School Learning Tree has been supporting the education and growth of hundreds of students in the San Diego community. We're proud and honored to have encouraged so many pre-K to high school students, parents, and families!
After 16 years of helping teach our children, we're now turning to our community for help in these hard times.
While we must do our part in minimizing the spread of COVID-19, our school is facing a challenging financial loss as a result of at least a 1-2 month-long closure.
Our Learning Tree family includes 50+ teachers, instructors, coaches, and staff who are now out of work. They are the ones who make it all possible, and supporting our family during this troubling time is our top priority.
Along with our team, moving forward we are also faced with uncertainty regarding operating costs, such as our rent. We have always strived to provide a safe, enriching environment for our students. Please help us continue to teach them academics—such as math, English, Chinese, Spanish— and extracurriculars—such as table tennis, piano, art, kung fu, dance, and so much more. These are just a few examples of what our students learn:
100% of these funds will be distributed among our teachers and staff and go toward operating capital. We recognize that it's a challenging time for many businesses—not just ours—and we truly appreciate any donations, no matter how small.
These are difficult days ahead, but we will get through it together as one community. As always, thank you for all of your love and support.
With gratitude,
Principal Yu on behalf of the entire Learning Tree family
