Support Agnes Su's Education at Interlochen Arts Academy

Hello! This is Adam. My daughter, Agnes Su, has been accepted into the Singer Songwriter program at the Interlochen Arts Academy for high school. We couldn't be more proud of her accomplishments thus far, and this opportunity will be a remarkable one for her. She has been a homeschool student since first grade, and at age 5 she began studying Suzuki violin at the String Academy of Grand Rapids. Her attention turned to playing fiddle on old time, traditional, and folk tunes, and throughout middle school years, Agnes's passion for history led her to discover a world of American music, diving deeply into some country music favorites. She now plays guitar and piano in addition to fiddle, and has been writing her own songs for about a year. During this last year, she has also been regularly volunteering for the local college radio station, WNMC, as a DJ on the Folk Aire program, and has booked a number of live music performances for a series hosted by our local library branch. This is all to say that not only is Agnes a gifted musician, she also works very hard to serve the community and to be involved in culture making via a variety of avenues. She has some especially exciting plans for future events, and is already working hard to bring them to fruition.
Interlochen Arts Academy is a renowned institution, and most of the students arrive there from all over the world to study. We are fortunate to live close enough so that Agnes can be a day student at the school. This does reduce the cost, as does the scholarship Agnes has received based on the quality of her application; however, there is still a tuition balance that our family is not able to afford. We are seeking donations to support Agnes's education, and all monies will go directly towards tuition. We believe that with your support, Agnes will be able to flourish at the Academy and begin her journey as a songwriter and recording artist.
