Support Ahmed Iyad: Food and Shelter Needed
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Thangam and I am a public health student in California. This fundraiser is to raise funds for Ahmed Iyad, a genocide survivor in the Gaza Strip who needs food and shelter. Ahmed had a previous fundraiser on this site, however he is unable to access to funds at the moment, as the card of the previous American sponsor has been hacked. This fundraiser has been temporarily set up in the meantime, as Ahmed’s family desperately need food as soon as possible. Ahmed posts about his life on his twitter account @Ahmed_Iyad09209, where we first talked about the starvation sweeping through the region.
"Hello friends,
I have been thinking about what life will bring-- not only immediately, but after this genocide finally ends. I have been in Gaza for my entire life, but lately, I feel as if I need to leave. I need to think of my safety, above all else. I need to think of what might be best in terms of even starting to heal from this absolute nightmare. And after much debating, I have decided that I may need to leave Gaza to ensure I have the best chance of achieving these things.
As you are aware, leaving Gaza is extremely expensive. I am counting on you to please donate to my Donation campaign and spread this message, so that I may have the funds to evacuate, once the ceasefire is reached. I am not looking to debate this decision, as nobody knows what we in Gaza are feeling unless you have lived through the genocide, as we have. Please think well of me, I am only trying to do what I think I need to do to be able to process and heal, after a ceasefire is reached.
Please, my friends, support me and my decision, and please donate and widely share my Donation campaign.
I am forever grateful for your help and support. I love you all!" - Ahmed
