Support Aidan's HOBY World Leadership Seminar Goal

Hello, my name is Aidan Venters. I am currently a high school student involved in many activities at my school including football, student council, and track and field.

1 year ago, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Delaware Seminar. I was chosen by Saint Mark's High School to represent them in the 2023 seminar, and my decision to attend was one of the greatest decisions of my life. I loved HOBY from the minute I arrived. I was able to gain new leadership skills and master a sense of self that made me the man I am today. HOBY inspired me to pursue my goals in a way I had never seen before. I joined Varsity Football, received my Eagle Scout Rank, achieved the position of Student Council President, and won the 2024 Track and Field State Championships with Saint Mark's High School.

This year, I had the honor of volunteering at the 2024 HOBY Delaware Seminar as a Team Alumni. This opportunity was just as amazing as the year prior. I was able to teach new students about leadership skills, and I was able to further the skills I was introduced to last year. Becoming a Team Alumni opened my eyes to new opportunities and possibilities for my leadership positions in the upcoming school year.

While at seminar, I was introduced to the HOBY World Leadership Congress. The World Leadership Congress, or WLC, is a week long, immersive leadership seminar designed to empower young leaders to make a difference in their communities. This seminar offers the chance for young leaders to meet peers powered by the same determination. With this seminar, I will learn skills and gain connections that can help me to make lasting impacts on my community. However, the cost of the WLC is large, and the only way for me to attend the seminar in Chicago is with your help. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
