My name is Tina and I am helping out one of my best friends who just abruptly lost a parent.

Due to unexpected health complications, Leonie Claire Savoie passed away around the first week of August.

Her two sons, Aiden and Nicco, are in charge of setting up and paying for the end-of-life arrangements for their mom.

Between having to take work off without bereavement coverage, her not having affairs in order, and the expenses for her arrangements, this family is seeking the help of friends and community to raise money to offset the burden of their unforeseen circumstances.

It is anything but easy to lose a parent. And to also have to dedicate large sums of time and money for arranging these services can be very daunting and emotionally draining.
