Support Aisha’s Journey to Academic and Athletic Excellence

Aisha Hassan, a talented and dedicated basketball player from Alexandria, Egypt, has been accepted to attend Convent of the Sacred Heart where she will continue her academic and athletic journey. Aisha’s remarkable accomplishments include numerous national and international championships, including leadership roles as team captain for Egypt’s U18 and U19 national teams. She has proven herself as an exceptional player, earning multiple MVP awards and representing her country in prestigious tournaments around the world. Recently, Aisha traveled to Phoenix where she was one of only ten international student-athletes from her age group chosen to participate in the Basketball Without Borders camp run by the NBA and FIBA at the site of the WNBA All-Star game.

Aisha has made the difficult decision to come to the States because she understands it will afford her more opportunities to achieve her goals. She has already received Div I offers and hopes to go on to have an illustrious professional career. Aisha’s journey from Egypt to Sacred Heart Greenwich is not just about basketball. It represents her relentless pursuit of academic and athletic excellence, her leadership qualities, and her dedication to making a positive impact. Before Sacred Heart, she attended a German all-girls Catholic school in Alexandria. She is a top level student with the equivalent of a 3.8 GPA in the most rigorous courses of her school. She is fluent in three languages, Arabic, English, and German. Aisha embodies the values of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance, making her an ideal candidate to excel at Sacred Heart and beyond.
