Heyy. I’m AJ
When I tell y’all God is always working! HE IS ALWAYS WORKING!
2021- I was enrolled at UNC online yo get my masters with a year left. I had taken a semester off and when I was ready to go back I was told that my tuition had somehow gotten messed up, and I need to it for the semester I did Not attend before I could enroll. Mind you this entire time, I was receiving emails saying how I was on the deans list for my impeccable grades.
2023-I went through months (Jan-May) of an appeal just to be told it was nothing they could do and I need to pay for the lost semester. Feeling defeated I wanted to give up and just chop it up as a loss. I was so hurt that I had built myself up to get back in school after being out of school for 6 years. Getting your mind right for school is different from going to work everyday. A couple months later I decided I would just start over. I would apply to school over I would take my chances and find another online program. I started applying.
Late in 2023 after I received some acceptance letters I went to work at my second job as a server. and Yale University was having an event. Not just any event but for my program! What are the odds! Even with me serving the wine I networked, made friends, I chatted and was encouraged by many to apply!
2024- I’ve received all my acceptance letters but one.. YALE. I waited anxiously and on Valentine’s Day it came. Me, AJ was accepted. Years out the game and here I was. Not only am I going to school, I’m taking a leap of faith and going to CT full time for my degree. I know school isn’t for everyone but it is for me, and I’m proud of myself!
God is always working, and knows what’s best for us. A dream deferred is not a dream denied. He really did his big one and I’m so grateful!
I made a go fun me if anyone wants to donate anything! Yale is expensive Chile. If not.. just pray for me!
