Support Akira's Healing Journey After Attack

(slightly gorey pics below and vet bill) Hello everyone at around 8:30 pm 12/30/24 I was returning to my apartment with my Shiba Inu Akira from her walk. As I was nearing my door we came in contact with another dog owner who was walking their dogs. We live in an apartment complex. I don't know what breed the dogs were but they were big dogs and in the heat of the moment I couldn't identify the breed. The dogs were leashed but the owner did not have enough power to control them and upon seeing Akira they pulled free from their owner's grasp and attacked her. One of the dogs had gripped her by her side and shook her like a rat which tore a hole in her. The other dog gripped her leg and punctured it slightly. I thought I would lose my dog and in the attempt to separate my dog my hands were injured. Thankfully Akira survived the attack but with holes in her side and injuries to her legs. She had to undergo surgery and the cost has wiped me out financially. It will be a struggle to pay rent and other utilities as well. I don't have a car and have been using uber and lyft to get to her vet which has been very costly. I'm making this gofundme to see if anyone can help. Normally I would never do this but financially this has ruined me. Anything helps and if you can't donate help please share. I'm asking for the cost of the vet bill and a little more to help get her to and from appointments via Uber and Lyft. Akira is recovering but she has a hard time walking due to the surgery stitches and plugs in her leg. She's also hesitant to go outside to use the bathroom. Again anything helps!
