Support Al Afya's Road to Recovery and Her family.
I am Ebaa Al Douma from Sudan , and we are currently facing a humanitarian crisis, a state of war, displacement, loss of lives, and loved ones, and the hardest thing is losing our future and health due to the ongoing conflict and political instability.
My 13-year-old sister, AL Afia, was involved in a severe traffic accident, resulting in complex foot injuries, including fracture and deformities. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries in Sudan and Egypt, her condition remains unstable, and the affected foot has stopped growing due to lack of access to proper medical care and rehabilitation.
As result of the war and displacement, my father lost his job, and we were forced to flee our home in Omdurman, Khartoum State. I am seeking help to secure medical treatment for my sister outside of Sudan, enabling her to access specialized care and rehabilitation.
The war has had a devastating impact on our lives, causing displacement, psychological, trauma and disruption of education and Healthcare services. I hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, allowing us to rebuild our lives and secure a brighter future.
I am determined to become a doctor and help those in need, inspired by my sister’s resilience and determination. I have begun studying medicine ،I was a girl who was passionate about life, and I loved my studies and my specialty as much as I loved myself, and I immersed myself in it with all love. I hope to complete my studies and become a doctor and be a balm and medicine for every patient. I have seen my sister’s suffering, and I do not wish a child of her age to go through this pain and challenges that life imposed on her.
And now I have lost my passion and enthusiasm for everything after seeing the suffering of my sister and my family. What worries me most now is the deterioration of her health. I cannot see my sister losing her foot. Your support will change the life of my sister and my family members to evacuate them. To a safer place. We have gone through many challenges. I hope for your support to stand by us to overcome and confront the challenges.
Iam grateful for any support and contributions to my sister’s medical journey and our family's future, your help will make a significant difference in our life .
