Hello, my name is Alaa Hamdouna, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My family and I, ten of us in total, are struggling to survive after the devastating conflict in Gaza. We have lost everything: our home, our safety, and even the most necessities.We ask for your support to escape the unimaginable conditions we are enduring and start a new chapter in safety and dignity. Before the war
Before the war, we were a family full of hope and determination. I am a teacher, passionate about shaping young minds, and my brother is an engineer with dreams of starting his own office. Together, we worked hard to support our family and create a brighter future.
Despite the challenges of living in Gaza, we held on to our dreams. My parents, who depend on daily medications, found strength in our love and support. We lived modestly but happily, knowing that our hard work paved the way for a better life.
Our Situation After the War
Everything changed on October 7th. The war turned our lives upside down in an instant. Our home, which was once a place of comfort and safety, was destroyed. We were forced to flee, leaving behind the life we worked so hard to build.
Now, we are living in a tent in northern Gaza, with no protection from the harsh weather and no access to necessities:
️Food and Water: We are struggling to find clean water and enough food to survive. My children are suffering from malnutrition, and I cannot find artificial milk for them, which has led to severe calcium deficiency.
️Medical Needs: My parents are unable to get the medications they desperately need for their health conditions.
️Safety and Security: Every day, we live in fear. The tent offers no real protection, and the constant uncertainty takes a heavy toll on all of us.
️Careers Lost: I can no longer teach, and my brother cannot pursue his work as an engineer.
This situation has stripped us of our dignity, our stability, and our hope. We are doing everything we can to survive, but we need your help to escape this nightmare.
Why We Need Help
We are raising €60,000 to secure permits and safely evacuate from Gaza to Egypt. This amount is essential for our survival and the chance to rebuild our lives. Each permit costs €6,000, and for our family of ten, the total comes to €60,000.
The funds will allow us to:
Escape Gaza: Obtain the permits needed to leave the war zone safely.
Meet Immediate Needs: Access to food, clean water, and medical care for my children and elderly parents.
Start Over: Find stable housing and resume our careers so we can rebuild our lives with dignity and hope.
