Support Alain's Journey to Recovery

On September 28, 2024, Erwin Alain, or as some people may know him, Kano, suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke. The 54.0 mm bleed in his brain was so large that the chance for him to survive the operation or to live a meaningful life was nearly impossible.

We were told that if he survived, he might never speak again, or walk again, or worst case, be in a vegetative state.

By the miracle of God and amazing medical professionals, he survived the surgery and was discharged from the hospital two months later. Although, he has a long road of recovery ahead.

Because of the damage caused by the bleed, he is paraplegic on the right side of his body and has apraxia. Although he is able to talk, he cannot express himself accurately with words and has trouble reading and writing. For that reason, he needs intense physical, cognitive, and speech therapy to recover to his full potential.

If you know Alain, you know he is the most independent, funny, loving, and hardworking person with a bright future as a clothing designer ahead. Unfortunately, his dreams for his clothing brand, Nightkids, have to be put on hold, but not forever.

We want Alain to be able to be who he was and continue to dream and work and live a happy life.

His family will need all the help in order to pay for medical bills and therapy bills that will pile up to help Alain regain control of his life again.
