Support Alaskan Film Production "Chasing Rainbows."

Chasing Rainbows is a film production, written and directed by Alaskan filmmaker Aaron Gordon, being produced in Alaska this summer 2024. Made up of a local cast and crew, this project will highlight Alaska's natural beauty through a story that exemplifies determination, honesty and the family bond.

This family-friendly story follows seventeen-year-old Kiera (played by Sophie Micciche) as she unintentionally travels through a rainbow portal to another world. She becomes separated from her younger brother Ben (Played by Henry Bauman) and must overcome a variety of obstacles, to reunite with him again.

Throughout her journey in this strange land, Kiera must avoid the slew of unfriendly characters (Including roles played by Dave Saldivar, Mike Druce and Ian McEwen) and rely on the help and friendship of the local misfits (Including characters played by Shannette Jackson, Jamie Nelson, and Spencer McAuliffe).

Other roles include characters played by Marlene Pearson, Amy Burton, Larry Opperman, Mark Burton, Morgan Hooper, Willow Green, Aaron Wilburn, Ranger Fox and Todd Sherwood. For better or worse, each character Kiera meets pushes her to the next step in her journey.

While there are nearly a hundred other people already involved to varying capacities, this production is made up almost entirely of volunteers.

The full expense breakdown for this project comes out close to 200k; however, through an abundance of volunteer efforts, we are working hard to pull it off with only 10% of the original goal.

Thank you to everyone who has helped get us this far. After years of rewrites, months of planning and casting, weeks of rehearsals, location scouting and costume designing, then 22 days of intense production. We have completed filming and are now in post-production.
