Support ALC's 1st Annual Culture Show

Join us in celebrating the rich and diverse cultures of our community by supporting Afro-Latinx Connection de UCLA's upcoming 1st Annual Culture Show, "La Vida es un Carnaval / Life is a Carnival". This event is a great opportunity to experience the vibrant and colorful traditions of various Black/Afro-Latinx cultures across Latin America and the Caribbean through music, dance, food, oral histories, and art.

Our goal is to create a platform and space of cultural empowerment and exchange, understanding, as well as to promote inclusivity and diversity in our community. We believe that through the arts and cultural education, we can break down barriers and foster a sense of unity amongst people from different backgrounds.

However, we cannot achieve this goal alone. We need your support to make this event a success. Your donation will help us cover the costs of performers, dance instructors, stage rentals, decorations, and more. By contributing to our Culture Show, you will be supporting the arts, promoting cultural educatio/exchange and understanding, and helping to create a more vibrant and inclusive community.

In addition to supporting our event, your donation will also help us achieve our broader mission of promoting cultural awareness and solidarity in our communities. As a student-led organization, we rely on the support of donors like you to help us achieve our goals and make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

We are excited to invite you to join us on Saturday, June 3rd, from 4:00-9:00 pm at the Ackerman Grand Ballroom at UCLA for an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and art. You don't have to be Black/Afro-Latinx to attend and support our culture show, but we highly encourage Black Diasporc and Latinx folks to attend. Together, we can create a more vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates and embraces diversity.
