Support Alejandra's Healing and Recovery

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Samantha. I’m here to ask for donations to help my best friend Alejandra get through these next few months of her healing process without having to worry about how she’s going to pay rent, feed her son or pay for medical expenses. If you would like to contribute I will be collecting money on her behalf, through this GoFundMe or you could give me, or Nichole, your donation in person.
Here is her story…
On April 14th, 2024, Ali was with her boyfriend helping him clean a family members yard, when they were offered to go for a quick ride on an ATV. She needed to go to Walgreens nearby and as her boyfriend made a turn towards the Walgreens they hit a big rock which made the ATV tip on its side. Unfortunately, Ali’s hand was caught under the ATV and was completely destroyed. The fingers on her right hand were all broken and the skin on her palm was completely pulled off. Her right foot was also broken in this accident. When she arrived at the hospital, they believed that they would have to amputate her whole right hand from the wrist but after getting in the OR for an emergency surgery they only had to amputate her middle finger and they were able to save the others and reconstruct her hand. A month into her healing process has been really rough but after her appointments in the past week, we have come to find out that the healing process is going to be quite lengthy. Once her wounds heal she will still have to go to physical therapy to be able to regain movement back in her hand. If you know anything about Alejandra, then you know that she is very giving, kind, loud and silly. She has worked very hard as a cook since she was 15 years old and has always taken care of the people around her. She came to Albuquerque with nothing and has literally no family besides her 16 year old son here. Those of us who have worked with her for a very long time, have become her family and we love her very much. She has never asked anyone for anything but is always the first to do anything that you may need or offer her help in anyway that she can. Cooking is her livelihood but now this is going to prevent her from getting back to work for a while. I know that times are hard but if you could help her in anyway, it would be greatly appreciated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking time to listen to my friend’s story.
