Dear family and friends,
I am reaching out during a very challenging time for my family. On my mom's 53rd birthday, on April 24, 2025, she suffered a stroke while traveling to the Philippines, leading to an unexpected medical crisis. She was rushed from the airport to the nearest hospital. As we grapple with this devastating news, we are faced with the reality of significant medical expenses that we did not anticipate.
My mom is currently in the Intensive Care Unit, requiring close monitoring and a range of medical tests to assess her condition. Unfortunately, her health insurance from the United States is not recognized internationally, meaning we are responsible for covering all expenses out of pocket. My dad and their friends have been at my mom's bedside 24/7, but my dad can only handle so much. For those of you who know my mom and have or currently work with her, she is the strongest and hardest-working person I know. She always makes others laugh and smile by singing or dancing at work, keeping a positive attitude. She manages to make patients laugh with her corny jokes and show kindness to others, leading to her nickname of "Mama".
The costs for her hospital stay, ICU care, therapy, and necessary medical tests are mounting quickly, and I am asking for your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in her care and recovery.
Please consider supporting us during this difficult time. Your generosity will go directly to covering her medical bills and ensuring she receives the best possible care until we can bring her home.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support. It means the world to us during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Lovely
