Support Alesia’s Journey to the 2024 DNC Convention!

Many of you may not know this, but as a young girl watching political conventions with her mother, Alesia was captivated by the signs, silly hats, and campaign buttons. She and her mother created their own versions and held mock conventions on the family room floor, and she envisioned herself as a delegate one day.

After the 2016 election, Alesia sought every opportunity to fight for democracy and work with other advocates to increase voter participation. After steady engagement with her community, where she led voter registration drives, organized voter education events, served on various committees with the Harris County Democratic Party, including the Precinct Chair Support Committee, knocked on more than 3,000 doors, and was appointed precinct chair in January 2022 and unopposed in her reelection in 2024, she has realized her dream.

Alesia is a sustaining member of the Harris County Democratic Party. This past June, she was elected as a Delegate to the 2024 DNC Convention, representing Congressional District 18. This district boasts a rich legacy of civil rights and community empowerment, championed by esteemed US Congress representatives like Barbara Jordan, Mickey Leland, Craig Washington, and until her recent passing, the indelible Representative Sheila Jackson Lee. Additionally, Alesia serves as the district's State Democratic Executive Committee representative.
