Support Alex Salgado's Road to Recovery

As many of you know, Alex Salgado was involved in a multi vehicle crash on the night of 1/5/25 just outside of Wolcott, Colorado. Alex, who was assisting a motorist after a crash on Interstate 70 in Eagle County was injured when another driver struck his tow truck pinning him between it and another vehicle.

The crash happened just after 8 p.m. Sunday in the westbound lanes of I-70 at milepost 158, which is near Wolcott, Colorado. Due to icy conditions, there were multiple crashes in the area. Alex arrived to assist a driver who was struck in the snow. The lights on the truck were activated. While Alex was working, his truck was hit by a Ford 250. A CSP trooper responded to investigate that collision. While the trooper was on the scene, the driver of a Jeep struck the trooper's vehicle. As a result, Alex was then pinned between the tow truck bed and the patrol vehicle. Alex was taken to Denver Health and is now dealing with 4 pelvic fractures, 2 abdomenal punctures and other internal injures.

Alex now has a long road ahead in recovery and even longer road before he is back out doing what he loves, helping others. If you have had the chance to meet or be around Alex you already know he will give the shirt of his back to anyone. Alex is a long time local and graduated from Battle Mountain High School in 2021. Anything helps as he is the primary income provider for his house and will be out of work for some time. We are also working on getting a meal train and other donation routes put in space.

Alex es un amigo cercano de la familia y residente de Eagle County. Tiene 22 años y trabaja como conductor de grúas por contrato.
