Alexandra’s Breast Cancer Fight

On November 7th 2018 our sister Alexandra Manning was suddenly diagnosed with stage 2
breast cancer as well as cancer in her lymph nodes. Alexandra who has no known family
history of breast cancer is now battling the fight of her young life.

Alexandra is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and so much more to so many people
that have come to know her. She is selfless, caring, beautiful  and is always putting others in front of herself. This is the type of wonderful human being Alexandra is. Alexandra has so much to fight for. She has two children at home; Amaya age 16 and Bryson age 23 months with her husband Thomas.

As you can imagine we are absolutely heartbroken of Alexandra’s diagnosis. While we are all hopeful for Alexandra to make a full recovery; the journey to become cancer free will not be an easy fight.

Alexandra’s cancer is very aggressive and spread beyond just her breast; this cancer needs to be aggressively fought by all means necessary. She is under the care of the wonderful doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Memorial Sloan Kettering is one of the best facilities in her area. They have some of the best cancer treating technologies and doctors to help fight this disease. Unfortunately MSK is not within her insurance network. Alexandra needs to be under the care of specialists that can properly treat this aggressive cancer.

She has completed four rounds of chemotherapy which she has received every other week. Her next bout with chemotherapy will now be every week. In April, Alexandra will have a double mastectomy and a month after her surgery will have radiation everyday for five weeks. Her treatments are taking a physical and and at times an emotional toll on her. It’s starting to become more difficult to work and do day to day tasks. She is exhausted but keeps fighting with a smile on her face; her strength is amazing.

We, her best friends and family, are asking for your support to assist with impending medical and living expenses. Alexandra will not be able to work as she normally does. Her husband Thomas, has been at home caring for Alexandra and the kids during this time.

Any contribution is never too small to make an impact for this amazing family. We thank you for your support and please keep the prayers coming for Alexandra.
