Support Alexandria's Journey to Independence

Alexandria is only 18 years old and is facing an extreme hardship and is asking our community for support through these times. Alexandria is a domestic abuse survivor and needs funds to help cover shelter and a reliable car.

When I asked Alexandria about her situation and what she could use the money for, this was her response:

“I could write about almost any event in my childhood, any time in my teen years, from my dad leaving, to being adopted, to raising my siblings, or the constant abuse & neglect I was raised around, but I think the most significant aspect that’s just taken away all my independence was being groomed by my ex when I was just 16 years old and he was an adult man in his 20s, this went on for years, all while living with my abusive parents. My parents were wretched in high school, so bad I tried attempting numerous times. They were so bad I saw Ryne (her ex-boyfriend who was around ten years older than her) as a savior. Moving in with him gave me PTSD; I have to pay for therapy now, & the money I had saved up all went to paying our rent and bills. I was left with nothing when he left me for his coworker, & I was forced to move back in with my parents who are just as bad, if not worse, than before & they take my money too. My car died a month after he and I broke up, so I have to get rides from my parents to work. I work so many hours and I’m desperately looking for a second job to make enough money to get a new car.”
